Question
Simplify:
$(3 x+4)(2 x-3)+(5 x-4)(x+2)$

Answer

$(3 x+4)(2 x-3)$
$=3 x(2 x-3)+4(2 x-3)$
$=6 x^{(1+1)}-9 x+8 x-12$
$=6 x^2-x-12$
$(5 x-4)(x+2)$
$=5 x(x+2)-4(x+2)$
$=5 x^{(1+1)}+10 x-4 x-8$
$=5 x^2+6 x-8$
$\therefore(3 x+4)(2 x-3)+(5 x-4)(x+2)$
$=6 x^2-x-12+5 x^2+6 x-8$
$=11 x^2+5 x-20$
