Solve the following equation and verify the answer:
x - 2 = -5

Answer

x - 2 = -5
Adding 2 on both the sides:
⇒ x - 2 + 2 = -5 + 2
⇒ x = -3
Verification:
Substituting x = -3 in the L.H.S.
⇒ -3 - 2 = -5 = R.H.S.
L.H.S. = R.H.S.
Hence, verified.
