Solve the following equation and verify the answer:
x + 3 = -2
✓

Answer

x + 3 = -2
Subtracting 3 from both the sides:
⇒ x + 3 - 3 = -2 - 3
⇒ x = -5
Verification:
Substituting x = -5 in the L.H.S.
⇒ -5 + 3 = -2 = R.H.S.
L.H.S. = R.H.S.
Hence, verified.
