$\frac{\text{x}+2}{\text{x}-2}=\frac{7}{3}$
By cross multiplication, We get $7(\text{x}-2)=3(\text{x}+2)$
$7\text{x}-14=3\text{x}+6$
$\Rightarrow7\text{x}-3\text{x}=6+14$
$\Rightarrow4\text{x}=20$
$\Rightarrow\text{x}=\frac{20}{4}=5$
Check: $\text{L.H.S.}=\frac{\text{x}+2}{\text{x}-2}$
$=\frac{5+2}{5-2}$
$=\frac{7}{3}=\text{R.H.S.}$ Hence $\text{x}=5$
By cross multiplication, We get $7(\text{x}-2)=3(\text{x}+2)$
$7\text{x}-14=3\text{x}+6$
$\Rightarrow7\text{x}-3\text{x}=6+14$
$\Rightarrow4\text{x}=20$
$\Rightarrow\text{x}=\frac{20}{4}=5$
Check: $\text{L.H.S.}=\frac{\text{x}+2}{\text{x}-2}$
$=\frac{5+2}{5-2}$
$=\frac{7}{3}=\text{R.H.S.}$ Hence $\text{x}=5$
