Question
Solve the following equations using the formula $2 x^2+7 x+5=0$
✓
Answer
$2 x^2+7 x+5=0$ Here a = 2, b = 7 and c = 5 Then $x=\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4 a c}}{2(a)}$ $=\frac{-(7) \pm \sqrt{(7)^2-4(2)(5)}}{2(2)}$ $=\frac{-7 \pm 3}{4}=\frac{-7+3}{4}$ and $\frac{-7-3}{4}$ $=-1$ and $-\frac{5}{2}$
