State the advantages of simple random sampling.

Advantages of simple random sampling method are as follows :
$(1)$In simple random sampling each unit of the population has an equal chance of being selected in the sample.
$(2)$ In this method the selection of sample being done without any bias or prejudice.
$(3)$ For Homogeneous population, the sample obtained by this method shows good representation of population and hence reliable results can he obtained.
$(4)$ In this method, from the sample data, reliable information about the characteristics of the population can be obtained with less cost and time.
