State the changes that take place in the uterus when:

  1. When the implantation of the embryo had taken place the uterus starts developing the placenta which secretes female hormone to temporarily stop the menstrual cycle until delivery.
  2. When the fertilization of the egg does not take place the thick uterine wall sheds off rupturing blood vessels of the uterus and blood comes out in the form of menstrual fluid.
