  2. It increases the cost of the product, since labelling involves expenditure on the part of the manufacturer.
  3. Labelling is effective only where goods are standardised.
  4. It enables the customer to weigh and compare the advantages of products before they are used. This ultimately ends in discarding of one product in favour of the other.
