Hypothalamus secretes gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) which stimulates the anterior lobe of pituitary gland to secrete LH (Luteinising hormone) and FSH (Follicle stimulating hormone).LH stimulates Leydig cells for the secretion of testosterone from the testes.
FSH stimulates Sertoli cells of the testes to secrete an androgen-binding protein (ABP) that concentrates testosterone in seminiferous tubules. It also causes the secretion of some factors which help in spermiogenesis.
