The pie-chart given in represents the expenditure on different items in constructing a flat in Delhi. If the expenditure incurred on cement is $₹\ 112500,$ find the following:

$i.$ Total cost of the flat.
$ii.$ Expenditure incurred on labour.

Answer

Expenditure on cement $= ₹\ 1,12,500$
and its central angle $= 75^\circ $
$i. \ \therefore\text{Total cost}=\frac{₹\ 1,12,500\ \times\ 360^\circ}{75^\circ}$
$=₹\ 5,40,000$
$ii.$ Expenditure on labour,
$=\frac{₹\ 1,12,500\ \times\ 100}{75}$
$=₹\ 1,50,000$
