The pie-chart given in represents the expenditure on different items in constructing a flat in Delhi. If the expenditure incurred on cement is ₹ 112500, find the following:
  1. Total cost of the flat.
  2. Expenditure incurred on labour.

Expenditure on cement = ₹ 1,12,500
and its central angle = 75°
  1. $\therefore\text{Total cost}=\frac{₹\ 1,12,500\ \times\ 360^\circ}{75^\circ}$
$=₹\ 5,40,000$
  1. Expenditure on labour,
$=\frac{₹\ 1,12,500\ \times\ 100}{75}=₹\ 1,50,000$
