Question
Two supplementary angles are in the ratio 7 : 5. Find the angles.

Answer

Ratio between two supplementary angles are 7 : 5
∴ Sum of ratios = 7 + 5 = 12
But sum of two supplementary angles = 180°
$\therefore$ First angle $=180^{\circ} \times \frac{7}{12}=15^{\circ} \times 7=105^{\circ}$
and second angle $=\frac{180^{\circ} \times 5}{12}=15^{\circ} \times 5=75^{\circ}$
∴ Two supplementary angles are 105° and 75°
