Answer

According to the balanced equation of a reaction, among the required reagents, one reagent is present in less quantity than required quantity and reaction stops as soon as it ends, it is called limiting reagent.
Example : When methane is combusted in presence of air, methane will always be limiting reagent because oxygen present in air is always present in excess.
