Advantages of sexual reproduction:
  • The fusion of male and female gametes from male and female parents occurs during sexual reproduction. The offspring have a diversity of personalities since the merging gametes originate from two separate and sexually diverse individuals.
  •  The newly formed individual has characteristics of both parents.
  • Variations are more viable in the sexual mode than in the asexual one. This is because in asexual reproduction, DNA has to function inside the inherited cellular apparatus.
