Question
What do you mean by static resistance of a diode?

Answer

Static $(DC)$ resistance:
$1.$ When a $p-n$ junction diode is forward biased, it offers a definite resistance in the circuit. This resistance is called the static or $DC$ resistance $(R_g)$ of a diode.
$2.$ The $DC$ resistance of a diode is the ratio of the $DC$ voltage across the diode to the $DC$ current flowing through it at a particular voltage.
$3.$ It is given by, $R _{ g }=\frac{V}{I}$
