Cell Cycle: The cyclical process from the end of the cell division to the end of the second division is called cell cycle.
Differences between G1 Phase and G2 Phase:
$G_{1}$ Phase
1. This stage is also called post-mitotic interval stage.
2. Its duration is variable.
3. The size of the cell increases.
$G_{2}$ Phase
1. This is called pre-mitotic interval stage.
2. Whereas its duration is 2-5 years.
3. The cell prepares to enter the mitotic (M) phase.
