DNA Probe : Small fragments of DNA, helpful in identifying presence of a DNA sequence in a living or non-living system, are known as DNA probes. DNA probes are also produced for acheiving commercial purposes. These are very purefied and sophisticated tools for identifying genes or DNA sequences. These are used in dignosis of infectious diseases detecting pollutants in food, isolation of genes and in testing of other micro-organisms.
