ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbant Assay) is a technique used to detut the viruses, fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma etc. It is used for the detection of infatious diseases like AIDS, tuberculosis etc. ELISA acts on the basis of antigen-antibody interaction principle. This technique was developed by Eva Engvall and Peter Perlman in 1971.
