Geothermal energy is heat energy which is obtained from the earth. This heat energy can be used to generate power. Hot springs is the form of geothermal energy which is used for cooking, heating and bathing.
In India, geothermal plants are located in Manikaran in Himachal Pradesh and Puga Valley in Ladakh.
