In human female, one menstrual cycle completes in 28 days. The first menstruation begins at puberty and is called menarche whereas cessation of menstrual cycle at the age of about 45-50 years is called menopause.
Hormones that regulate menstrual cycle in female are follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), estrogens, Lutenising Hormone (LH) and Progestrone.
