Question
What is oxidative phosphorylation?

Answer

O2 acts as the final hydrogen acceptor in the 2 electron transport system. Unlike light phosphorylation, where light energy is used for phosphorylation in the formation of protein gradients, a similar process in respiration supplies energy through oxidation reduction. As a result, the process caused by this is called oxidative phosphorylation.
