Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma.There are two types of pollination:
  1. Self pollination: it is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the same species.
  2. Cross pollination: it is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of another flower of the same or different plant.
