What is the difference between fibrous roots and adventitious roots?

Fibrous roots arise from radicle of seed. Vegetative roots arise from nodes of stems or from some other aerial parts of plants. Fibrous roots are meant for anchorage and absorption of water and minerals. Adventitious roots are usually meant for vegetative propagation.
