Question
What is ‘Upanay’?

Answer

‘Upanay’ is the fourth component of the Panchavayavi conjecture. Upanay leads the listener to Nigman (Up means near and Nay means to draw). The sub-sentence states by a single statement that in the present conjecture (1) there is a direct knowledge of the presence of purpose in the party and (2) there is a pervasive relationship between purpose and accomplishment and hence the relationship between party and accomplishment has been established through purpose.
