Montane Wet temperate forests: These are found in Himalayas extending from Nepal to Assam at the altitude from 1800 to 3000m, as well as in some parts of South India (Nilgiris). Most temperate, deciduous (leaf-shedding) forests are located in the eastern United States, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, and parts of Russia.
