The main pollutants which spread air pollution are as follows:
(1) The particles of the coal used as the fuel.
(2) The carboneceous compounds obtained from the smoke (fumes) of factories and mills.
(3) The harmful gases like nitrous oxide, carbon monoxide, banzopyrene and carbon dioxide from the smoke (fumes) of petrol or diesel vehicles.
(4) The airborne particles which occur due to the activities like mining and construction.
(5) The incineration (burning) of solid waste from agriculture.
(6) The excretion of animals and their dead bodies, putrefied vegetables and fruits produce, harmful gases like ammonia and hydrogen sulphide caused due to putrefaction of stale foods.
(7) The refineries of metals like copper, lcad, zinc, etc. also spread sulphur dioxide.
