According to the Indian Constitution those people who have faced caste-based exploitation/ injustices are listed in a separate schedule under Article $341$.

  • The constitution has also prepared a schedule of the people who live mostly in forest and mountainous region and lack social and economic resources. They are poor, illiterate and have their own culture.
  • They are included in the schedule of Article $342$ as Scheduled Tribes.
  • Even if they convert they continue to enjoy their benefits.
  • The President of India has finalised and declared the list of $SC/ST$ under Articles $341$ and $342.$
