Explanation:
Enzymes catalyzes the biochemical process. They catalyze the hundreds of stepwise reactions that degrade nutrient molecules, conserve and transform chemical energy, and make biological macromolecules from simple precursors.
They provides an alternative reaction pathway. But they are neither consumed or undergo any permanent changes during the reaction and so remain unchanged at the end of the reaction.
They can only alter the rate of reaction, not the position of the equilibrium.
