A complaint to the District Consumer Forum can be filed by
the consumer
the Government of India, State Government and the
Government of Union TerritoryConsumer Society
Representative of consumer, and any member of the family of the consumer who had purchased goods or services.
A complaint can be either handwritten or typed or sent through e-mail. When a complaint is lodged in a forum/ court, it has to be accompanied by affidavit, giving information about name, address and contact number. The reasons for filing complaint should be clearly started. Xerox copies of the supportive documents/ evidences related to complaint should be enclosed.
