  3. Most inscriptions are short.
  4. The longest inscription contains about 26 signs.
  5. It is pictographic.
  6. It was not alphabetical.
  7. It has too many signs.
  8. It was written from right to left.
  9. It has been found on various objects like seals, copper tools, rims of jars, copper and terracotta tablets, jewellery, bone rods.
