Question
Why do plants not require a digestive system?

Answer

Plants are autotrophs. They prepare their own food using $CO _2, H _2 O$ in the presence of sunlight trapped by the chlorophyll pigment present in the leaves. There is no need for the digestive system for plants as they use starch as such.
