The reasons why adolescents and youngsters take to consumption of drugs are:

The following measures can be taken to avoid taking drugs:

  3. Seeking help from parents, elders and peers. This would help the young to share their feelings and concern.
  4. Looking for danger signs and taking appropriate measures to treat them.
  5. Seeking professional and medical help for de-addiction and rehabilitation.
