Flora and fauna need to the conserved due to the following reasons:
  1. Milch animals provide milk. They also provide us meat, eggs, fish and help in transportation.
  2. Insects help in pollination of crops and fruit trees and exert biological control on such insects which are harmful.
  3. Plants provide us food, shelter and many more useful items. Several medicinal plants are of great value to human beings such as Sarpagandha, Jamun, Kachnar, Tulsi plant, Neem, Babool, Arjun, etc.
  4. Every species has a role to play in the ecosystem. Hence, conservation is essential.
