Our natural and cultural heritage is vast, rich, diverse and unique and it is an invaluable gift it is the result of the tireless efforts of the people of India over the centuries.

• It has brought us glory and is the mirror of our national identity.
• It introduces the Indian people and their unique and excellent culture to the world.
• But people harm or spoil the natural heritage by polluting rivers, streams, lakes by haphazard cutting trees and forests and killing animals and birds.
• They damage historical monuments, make surroundings dirty, scribble on the walls and destroy ancient inscriptions.
• So we should make all possible efforts to maintain the importance and value of our vast heritage by conserving and protecting it so that its continuity is maintained.
