There is a big change in the means of lighting. My nanaji tells us that there was no electricity during their childhood. They used to study in light of diya. When the wind blew, the flame of diya used of flicker, sometimes the oil ran out and makes it difficult to study. Later electricity invented and Tubelight, C.F.L. and now L.E.D. are here which use less electricity and more lighting. Solar lights are also common nowadays. These changes made life comfortable, easy to study and easy to work during night. Infact lighting diyas on festival is still prevalent which connects us with our roots.
