Lothal is situated on the banks of the Bhogavo river in Dholka Taluka of Ahmedabad district. It was a commercial port and industrial town in ancient times. One structure made of bricks has been found here. It is believed to be a Dockyard. It can be assumed that the ships arriving here were used for loading and unloading of goods. Besides this, warehouses and a bead-making factory have been found from Lothal. These remains show that.
