Sensitivity to Specially Abled
A specially abled person is she or he who has different capabilities to the average person. People, society and government should exhibit sensitivity to them. There were 2.68 crore specially abled people in 2011 in India. People should behave normally with the specially abled persons. They should pay respect to them. They should consider their requests. They should take care of their feelings. They should help them in need.
Society should include them in itself. Society should make use of their ability. Society should give love to them. Government should make special provisions for specially abled persons. In February, 2014 Govt. tabled a bill in Rajya Sabha. There is provision for 3% of reservation in govt. jobs for them. Free education upto the age of 18 years is imparted to them. Ramps have been built for their smooth access to govt. offices. Games and sports are held for them at national and international levels.
Devendra Jhanjhadia, Rajasthani para-olympian; Sudha Chandran, Bharatnatyam dancer; Stephen Hawking, Physicist; Einstein, the great scientist are the examples of specially abled.
