  2. These are made up of rocks and metal pieces.
  3. They are also called Planetoids or Inferior Planets or Minor Planets.
  4. There are millions of asteroids scattered in the orbits of Mars and Jupiter and are far away from the earth hence not visible through naked eyes.
  5. The largest asteroids are known as “Ceres”.
