Rajasthan:
Most of the Rajasthan is desert region and so it receives less rainfall. Hence, most of the houses have flat roofs. Rural people live in the houses made of grass and soil.

Gujarat:
People of Gujarat live in modem types of houses and buildings made of brick and cement. Dwellings in Kachchh region of Gujarat are known as Bhunga.

Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Goa:

1. Urban people of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Goa also live in modem houses with many modern amenities.

2. Roofs of the buildings in Konkan region which receives heavy rainfall are slant.

3. In every state, the forest dwellers living in forests or mountainous area stay in scattered huts.
