Land pollution is the contamination and degradation of Earth’s land surfaces and soil. It is caused by human activities like throwing of litter and garbage, dumping of solid industrial waste, radio-active wastes, mining activities, usage of pesticides etc. It affects soil fertility and can cause serious illnesses in humans and animals. It can be controlled with proper disposal of domestic as well as industrial waste.
