Print revolution was not only a development and a new way of producing books but it was a transformation of people's lives which changed their relationship to information and knowledge and with institutions and authorities.
Impact of the Print revolution:

1. A new reading public emerged with the printing press.
2. Printing reduced the cost of books.
3. The time and labour required to produce each book came down and multiple copies could be produced with greater ease.
4. Books flooded the market, reaching out to an ever-growing readership.
5. Popular ballads and folk tales began to be published for those who did not read but could enjoy listening to books being read out and they were illustrated with pictures to attract them.
