The division of the cytoplasm takes place through the furrow method. 4. Division occurs throughout the body of animals. Plant Cell Division: 1. Centrosomes are absent. 2. Astral rays are not formed. Hence it is called anastral. 3. The division of the cytoplasm takes place by cell plate method. 4. In plants, it usually occurs in the meristem parts only.
