Function of Cytokinins:
(i) Cytokinins stimulate plant growth by cell division as against auxins and gibberellins which stimulate growth by cell elongation. They promote cell division even in non-meristematic tissues.
(ii) In seeds, cytokinins cause expansion of cotyledons.
