The Battle of Buxar was fought on $22nd$ October, $1764.$ The Nawab of Bengal, Mir Qasim, the Nawab of Awadh and the Mughal Emperor planned to expel the British and their army from India. The army of these three consisted of about $50.000$ soldiers, while the Company's army Battle of Buxar $($October $22, 1764)$ was fought was of $7072$ soldiers. In spite of this the joint armies were defeated and the British were victorious. so there was no one to challenge the British who had defeated the three rulers together.
