The Vitthala temple is in Hampi. It was constructed by Krishnadeva Raya in 1513. Although the construction work was started by Krishnadeva Raya, it also continued after his death. This beautiful temple isdedicated to Vitthala or the Vishnu.
This temple is constructed in a compound measuring 152 × 94 metres and has three beautiful Gopurams.
There are 48 magnificent pillars in Kalyana Mandapa which have been carved out of rocks.
The artistic work on the pillar is very beautiful.
A chariot built in the front of the temple add to beauty of the temple.
