Functions of the middle brain : In this part, four visual bodies are the centres of visual knowledge. Apart from this, the control centres of auditory reflex actions are also located here. These visual bodies control the voluntary muscles of the front and hind legs. Intercostal muscles, which help in respiration, are also controlled by this middle brain.
