Sedimentary rocks are formed from sediments as when the rocks rolled down, crack and hit each other, they are broken into small fragments or particles called sediments. When these loose sediments, are transported and deposited by wind, water, etc, they are compressed and hardened to form layers of rocks called sedimentary rocks.
