View full question & answer→Zoo is a place where animals and birds are kept in cages or enclosures in their natural surroundings. Last Sunday, I had a chance to visit The Delhi Zoo. After buying the tickets, we entered the zoo. The water-birds, ducks, cranes, storks, kingfisher, etc. swimming in the water canal welcomed us. Some of them were perching on a tree. We moved on to the cages of monkeys and apes. They made faces at us. Then we came to the enclosure of the ferocious animals like tigers, lions and leopards. The lion was sleeping under a tree in its enclosure. The tigress was playing with her cubs. The dancing peacock looked beautiful. The area of the zoo is quite vast. By 5 p.m. we were tired and hungry. We had some snacks and tea in the canteen and returned back home. Watching live animals and birds was a great fun.
