Answer
Essay
1.
Entrance Examinations are everywhere on the block. With more students and less seats entrance examinations have become a must. Also it is necessary to assess the capability and aptitude of the students before they are admitted to check whether they will be able to do the course and are fit enough to occupy the seat. However, the examinations need to be designed in such a way that students don't find themselves burdened and depressed.
As these examinations are here to stay students need to explore knowledge beyond textbooks and prepare for these exams by getting thorough practice in the type of questions asked. As they are interested in screening the students so that only those who are serious about their studies are chosen.
Also a good point with these exams are that those students who are not able to meet with the cut-off criteria of marks can do well in the entrance exams to take up the career stream they are interested in. Another reason for such examinations is that the number of students for admission is too high so this is the only way to reduce the number who can be admitted. However, these exams leave a feeling of dejection especially for students from rural background who really do not have the means for their preparation.
2.
Sibling rivalry means a kind of a competition existing among children of the same family. If it leads to their growth and all-round development we can call it a healthy rivalry. However, sometimes it leads to breakups in families and creates distance between the members.
Sibling rivalry usually arises due to the overprotective attitude of the parents towards a child, a gender bias or giving a child more importance than the others. Sometimes it leads to unhealthy competition among the children and becomes the onset of an unhealthy rivalry. Usually, the firstborn finds it difficult to accept that somebody else will share the affection of the family. Parents have to play an important role in bringing the siblings together and learning the art of living. They too must stop paying more attention to a particular child and treat all of them equally. Fostering family bonds and increasing family activities where everyone participates is the best way to nullify any sibling rivalry that crops up.
The mass media should have constructive talks, dramas and soaps on TV to make people aware about the problem and delicately treat it with caution. If professional help is required it should be used subtly to nip the problem in a bud before it takes a serious turn.
Speech
Respected Principal Sir, teachers and my dear friends. Good morning I am Amit Tandon from XI C and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Child Labour.’
Children are the future of the country. Every country should see that each child develops and helps the country to progress. However, today we find many children not going to school but working to add to the family income. People make small children work because they don’t have to pay them more money. The children are even forced by their parents to work. Child labour is very shameful.
So many children work in cracker factories and die early because the harmful material used in crackers get into their bodies. Many children are brought forcibly from far off villages to work in the cities. They are made to stay in small rooms and are not given proper food and facilities.
It is not legal to make small children work because they need to go to school and study. In India it is compulsory for a child of 6 - 14 years to go to school. The children who spend their life working have never enjoyed their childhood.
They have not received the love and care of parents. Such children will become misfits and even take to crime. Child labour should be stopped completely and the government should take strict action and punish those who make small children labour. I sincerely hope this problem is solved to let all children enjoy their childhood. Thank you.

We all are very familiar with this "superstitions". It is also known by some other names like "belief", fantasy', 'rumour', and so on. It is completely beyond or any logic. The science bluntly disapproves them. There are so many superstitions which have been with us since the beginning. They are different to the different people. We may be familiar with such superstitions. People act in some certain ways and try to come out from them.
As we know the superstitions exict with us. Some of them are as under. There are the superstitions about the birds, the animals, the colors, the God, the festivals and so on. There is a strange superstition about the black cat. In India people consider it as a bad luck. While in the parts of America people take it for granted as a good luck. Yet there is a superstition about the triangle. It is believed that if a person breaks the triangle by passing under it, it brings him a bad luck. There is the superstition about number 13. In the U.S.A. People believe this number to be very unlucky and therefore most of the buildings and offices do not have the floor number 13. After twelve they give the number fourteen. Moreover there is the superstition about the green color. Any actor or actress docs not use it while performing for the first time on the stage or in drama or in a movie. Mostly they put on or use saffron or red color for a good begining. There is a superstition about the dog's cry. It is believed in India that if a dog cries nearby someone's residence it means it shows the signs of death of someone. There is also another superstition about the bird albastros. The sailors used to believe that if such a bird flies over their ship it may bring ill-luck. Above mentioned superstitions and other superstitions have no logic nor the truth yet they cling to us. The science denies them completely but we, the people are habituated to them and in one or the other way we believe that by acting in certain ways. We can't escape from them though we wish or try. Gradually they are expanding rather than avoiding.
Speech
Good morning respected Madam and my dear friends. Today the 27th of September is World Tourism Day and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Travelling as a means of Education’.
Travelling is a passion and hobby. Travelling broadens one’s outlook and introduces us to different places, people, cultures, foods and drinks. Nature has blessed regions with different landscapes and cultures. There are different places where we can travel to- sea beaches, mountainous places, desert areas, plains, country side, posh cities and places of historical monuments. People travel for different reasons- work, rest, change of routine, family get- together. Travelling for work can be a pleasure and a pain- but a new place should be taken for what it is and enjoyed in that manner. It can also be made into a happy blend of work and change. Historical places help us go back in time. Seaside places have their own joy as they bring in the goodness of the waters, pure air for breathing, scuba diving, surfing, boating, swimming, walking along the beach and playing with the sand. Mountainous places provide us pure air and closeness to nature. Desert landscapes are also beautiful, with their sand dunes, traditional dances and food. Travelling can be entertaining and informative. Everyone must make travelling a hobby and enjoy it for life.

Answer
Essay
1.
One of the wise sayings is "A healthy mind in a healthy body". Education and sports are like two sides of a coin. Both are equally important for children. True education should aim at developing the all-round personality of a child. It means that education should result in the mental, moral and physical development at a child. But unfortunately Sports education is neglected in India. A strong body is an essential tool to fight the struggle in life. Sports not only promote our health and strength but also develop in us many good qualities of the head and the heart. The school and colleges curriculum should have a place for sports and games. This saying is true- "All work and no play make jack a dull boy." Sports can relax the students from the tension of studies. Sports develop many good qualities like self - confidence sportsmanship, honesty, punctuality, tolerance, team - spirit, leadership, obedience. Co-operation and brother hood. Physical training and sports refresh and entertain children Mental and moral development is not possible without physical development. Sports make us broad minded. Sports teach us secularism and patriotism. Sportsmen can make a nation strong and famous.
2.
Discipline is the training of the mind and character to cultivate the habit of self-control we have been obedient and disciplined during our childhood school days and college days. There is need for discipline in all walks at life. There are two kinds of discipline external and internal. External discipline becomes necessary when a large number of people have to live and work together. The more important type of discipline that we should try to learn and develop is internal discipline or Self discipline Self discipline means controlling our desires and feelings so that they do not become our masters. All great men have acquired this type of discipline. The finest example is that Mahatma Gandhi his book, 'My experiments with Truth' tells us how he achieved self-control. To achieve great things in life, One has to strive hard and practice hard and this calls his self-discipline. Krishnamurti Says that discipline is a complex problem. When we are young, we feel that discipline curtails our freedom. Discipline can help to direct our energy into constructive purposes. Indeed, discipline is the key to success.
Speech
Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Nita Yagnik of standard XI – B and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Corruption : Its Causes and Remedies’
Corruption means doing something illegal and not acceptable to the society. This could be giving or accepting a bribe, cheating or defrauding. It exists because people support it. They may not participate in it but they will not raise their voice against it so it continues to exist.
Corruption exists in business, education, government offices and even in social institutions. In the present competitive times, people resort to bribes and feel no qualms about indulging in them. Government workers think they do a favour to people by getting their contract papers signed from the main officers so they need to take extra money for that.
When you have power and clout, the people are willing to pay you extra to get their work done out of turn so the level of corruption rises. The level of corruption is very high in India and it is a known fact that cleaning the system is like cleaning the Ganges. It can be removed only with people’s support and help. The honest should be rewarded and the dishonest need to be punished and made aware of their shortcomings. We need dedicated and honest people to clean up the system. Corruption is a blot on the society.

Answer
Essay
1.
India is a democratic country. It is a very big and great country. It is said that there is unity in diversity in India. But they all mingle into one when they are called Indians. There is a lot of vanity in the physical features of India. People of India follow different customs and traditions.
The Hindus, the Muslims, the Paris, the Christians, the Sikhs etc have different places of worship They have also different ways of prayers. Thus, India is known for secularism. Secular countries are rare in the world except India. Though the Indian people follow different religions and customs, they live in a friendly manner with one another.
People of India have diversified interests. Different festivals are celebrated throughout the year There are artists and scientists who are famous all over the world. There are also various ideologies in India. There are superstitions too because of different ideas. But the Indian people are progressive who hold belief based on education.
India is a very colourful country. Costumes, jewellery, food habits and the lives of people are colourful People of India are very fond of variety of food. There are so many languages in India. Sometimes we are surprised to know the list.
Thus, India is a country of diversity but there are similarities and differences both. Ultimately, people of India respect and love one another.
2.
Democracy has been well defined as the Government of the people, for the people and by the people'. India, our country, is a Democratic Nation. Democracy is found in real sense in India. It is the most effective and popular form of government. It is a system that has become more popular and acceptable.
In a democratic government, all the decisions are taken by the people's representatives. The decisions are mostly in the interest of people and the prosperity of a country. The country is self reliant in matters of food and other needs. We don't need to import edible oil or food-grains from other countries now. We have exported some grains nowadays. We have green revolution as well as white revolution by producing many milk products. The present age is also called the age of IT revolution. We have also made progress in space exploration. The Information Technology revolution has changed the face of the whole country. We are one of the leading developing nations.
But the way to success is not always smooth and easy. Every coin has two sides. Even today India is suffering from many socio-economic problems. These problems are poverty, illiteracy, over population, corruption etc. Communal harmony is also lacking, illiteracy comes from over population which interrupts the progress of nation and leads it to poverty. Let's unite together to fight against this misfortune of our country to make it the strong nation.
Speech
Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Kusum Joshi of standard XI- A and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Humanity above all Nations’.
God is the potter, the earth is his wheel and all human beings are the pots he has made. We are made out of the same clay but we speak different languages, follow different religions, have different colour of skin and live in different regions. All people are allied by birth. We breathe the same air, enjoy the same sunshine. We have the same type of bodies and do almost the same kind of work. Many are not ready to accept this fact. The world has seen two horrible World Wars. Nations have attacked one another and have brought about destruction to life and property. Scientific inventions have brought in deadly weapons which have brought humanity to drifting dust. Inspite of all these, whenever there have been disasters both natural and man- made people have come to help one another. Nature considers everyone as equal and gives us the right to enjoy her benefits. It is we humans who have created divisions. We need to amend attitude. We need to rise above petty issues and honour and respect everyone around us if we want to command that same respect. Humanity is what is important than all materialistic things in this world.

Answer
Essay
1.
I like all the games but my favourite game is Cricket. I can play tennis, foot-ball and other games but the game I like most is cricket. Cricket is an international and popular game.
People of England and Australia started to play cricket more than hundred years ago. Since then it has been playing in many countries. Cricket is a good and outdoor game. It is also a democratic game. It brings together the rich, the poor, the high and the low. It is an open air sport so it provides healthy exercise.
Batting, bowling, fielding, umpiring etc are the different skills of this game. There are a few teams of cricket in this world. The cricketers play test match and one day game. Test matches is of 5 days and one day match is of I day. Two teams play with each other on the ground and there are 11 players in each team. Sachin Tendulkar, Adam Gilchrist, Murlidharan, Shane warne, Brian Lara, Andrew Filntoff, Jacques kallis etc are some star players of cricket.
India won the world cup in 1983 and in 2011. Sachin Tendulkar has scored maximum centuries in Test matches and in One-day matches. The game of cricket creates a spirit of brotherhood and fine sportsmanship. It teaches discipline, honesty, co-operation, selflessness and fair play. It also teaches obedience to the leader.
But today many players play cricket to earn only money. It is not good if this game is played on commercial base only and the spectators waste a lot of time to watch it.
2.
Animals have been man's friends for centuries. They have also our constant companions because they help us in many ways. Their services to mankind are great and unbelievable. Meat, skin, bones and milk of animals are used all over the world. The horse, the camel, the elephant, the donkey, the reindeer etc. are used for travelling and transportation. Thus, they are very useful to mankind.
But how we treat the animals! We have been extremely selfish in the use of the animals. We have overloaded beasts of burden. We starve them or flog them if they don't learn and perform tricks well in a circus. We do experiments on them and kill them for inventing new medicines. This makes animals suffer a lot. We should remember that our debt to these unfortunate helpless creatures can't be repaid. It is the milk of the cow and the buffalo which nourishes us from our infancy.
The question is, how should animals be treated? We should be grateful to them. We should not harass them for our selfish purposes. We should not beat them to perform the tricks for circus. We should not overload them for transportation or kill them for our needs. The hunters should not hunt them. We should not flog them for our selfish purposes. In zoo, the animals should be looked after well. The visitors also should not tease or harass them.
We should love animals and take care of their lives. We should treat them with care and love because their lives are as important as ours.
Speech
Respected teachers and my dear friends I am Ankur Patil of standard XI - A. I wish you all a very happy Independence Day and today I am going to speak on the topic ‘Unity in Diversity’ Our holy books have always pointed out the need for unity and peace among people.
The world is a big family because we are all brothers and sisters allied by birth.
We all come from the same father but we are born in different regions, have same type of anatomy but differ in looks, foods habits, languages yet we are not foreigners or strangers to one another.
The world has witnessed two World Wars, where man has killed man. It is quite shameful when members of the same house (world) fight with each other. Every region receives the same sunlight, rain, wind and air. Most of the regions carry out the same occupations like agriculture, industry and service sectors.
Our late President Dr. Radhakrishnan has rightly pointed out, “We need to rise above narrow mindedness to think of ourselves not just as citizens of a city, state, country but of the entire world.” The feeling should be taught to every child so that when they grow up the feeling of being a world citizen is ingrained in them. This sentiment will also ensure peace and stop all evils like terrorism, wars and corruption from the world. We should never think of ourselves as a Gujarati or Indian but as a world citizen.

It is true that trees are a great boon to mankind. They are quite connected with human life. Without trees, we can't imagine human life. It is said that. "A friend in need is a friend indeed”.
Trees are our true and best friends. They are very useful to us in many ways. They keep the environment clean and beautiful. They take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. They also keep the temperature down and soil fertile. Trees are our natural wealth so we must not cut them down We should not let anyone cut down a tree. If we cut down trees, our life will be in danger. Without trees, the soil is washed away and the land loses its fertility. There isn't enough rainfall so the rivers will dry up. The deserts are expanding and birds and animals are dying.
Trees give us fruits, vegetables, flowers, gum, rubber, medicine etc. They also give us wood for fuel; paper is also made from the trees. Timber is also used to build houses and make fumiture. Trees also give food and shelter for birds and animals. Thus, we must understand the value of the trees.
It is good matter that the government has realized the importance of trees. So a tree plantation programme known as "Van Mahotsav' is held every year. We must not forget the wise saying. Save the trees and the trees will save you."
Speech
Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Alka Patel of standard XI- E and I am going to speak on the topic ‘An average child is nobody’s child.’
In today’s competitive world, the average child is actually handicapped and under equipped to handle himself and thus becomes a misfit. When parents have not been able to fulfil their aspiration, they push their wards to see their wishes being fulfilled through their children All children are not the same. Some may be bright in studies but may not do well in sports and vice versa. We need to understand what a child likes to do and then encourage him to do well; Every child cannot get the first position. When a child is average, even the parents give up on him and feel that they have given birth to a weakling.
If a child does well the parents will encourage him, spend more time with him and even ignore the others, even teachers ignore average children. Some classes specifically take students only on merit. What will happen to children who are counted as less worthy in the eyes of society?
However, society has proof that such average children do excel in their lives. Take the case of Einstein, he was an average student in class, yet he went on to become a great scientist. No one is average, all are special!

Speech
Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Ayesha Mansuri of standard XI - A and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Save Water’
We cannot live without water. About 70% of our body is made up of water. The earth is a blue planet but most of the water is in the sea and it is salty so we cannot use it for drinking, house work, factories and farms. When the sun shines the water vapour goes up, forms clouds and comes down as rain. This rain then fills up the lakes, rivers, ponds and seas. We do not look after this beautiful gift of nature. We dirty and pollute the water by throwing sewage and harmful chemicals in it. Most of the factories throw their waste into the rivers.
People also waste a lot of water. There is very little fresh water in the world. We should not waste water. We should use only as much as we need. We should not let our taps remain open when we don’t need water. The drinking water pipes and drainage pipes should not mix up with one another. We should reuse water like when we clean our cars and houses we should not throw away the water in the gutters but give it to the plants. Save water - it is a scarce resource and every drop is precious.

Prepare a speech on ‘Corruption: Its Causes and Remedies’ in not less than 250 words.
Answer
Essay
1.
Good books enrich the mind by providing knowledge, by widening the horizons of our imagination. and giving us an insight into different minds. If a man is known by the company he keeps, why should we not, then, keep the best company, that of good books? Good literature entertains and instructs It takes us on a flight of fancy, away from our boring lives, to a place or country we want to visit without having to pay for the passage. Pleasures derived from external things like eating or sports are short-lived but the pleasure that we derive from reading books is everlasting and satisfying. Even after we have finished reading a book, we continue to think about it and derive pleasure from it.
To derive maximum pleasure from reading we have to gradually pass on from comics, detective novels, magazines and simple storybooks to good literature. Just like friends, the quality of the books that we read also determines the kind of person we are. Good books will enrich our personalities, and it is these kinds of books that we should turn to when we have the leisure. We should aim to read at least ten books every year.
2.
Life without ambition is like a vehicle without steering. Everybody must have some ambition in life. A person must know his goal, and what career he would like to follow when he grows up. Once the goal is decided, then the person can work hard to achieve it.
From my childhood I have wanted to be a doctor. I am always much concerned when my friends fall sick, and I feel like looking after them. Daddy is a business man and would like me to be one. But I have told him quite plainly that I shall be a doctor. Daddy has no choice but to accept my decision. Now he wishes me all success, and hopes that I achieve my ambition.
After I get my medical degree I shall set up a dispensary in my village. There are no good doctors there. Many people die due to lack of medical facilities. I would like to provide medical aid to these unfortunate villagers.
Making money shall not be my aim. I shall never turn away a patient who cannot afford my fees. I shall be gentle and considerate with my patients. I shall visit the homes of the villagers to make sure that they are taking proper care of their health.
I am sure, with determination and devotion: I will be able to fulfill my ambition.

When you have power and clout, the people are willing to pay you extra to get their work done out of turn so the level of corruption rises. The level of corruption is very high in India and it is a known fact that cleaning the system is like cleaning the Ganges. It can be removed only with people's support and help. The honest should be rewarded and the dishonest need to be punished and made aware of their shortcomings. We need dedicated and honest people to clean up the system.

1.
Why do we make excuses? You may have probably more reasons than I can tell you. We have developed a culture of excuses. The main reason behind excuse is that excuses make life easier, especially when we know the majority of people will buy into them. It's like a snowball effect. When one person makes an excuse, another person hears that and realizes that it will work for them tong Then they share that excuse and so on. When we do something wrong we usually know it's er toile and are already making up an excuse in our head. In our minds we want to believe that others will always buy our excuses.
In the school we hear many excuses regarding the homework such as: I have completed my homework but I have forgotten it at home. This is the most common excuse we hear or give regarding not doing the homework. The other common excuse is I was absent when the homework was given or I was so ill that I could not complete the homework. Other reasons are also given such as I was participating in school extracurricular activity and so I did not find any time to do it. Some students have extra ordinary and hilarious excuses such as when I was coming to school a cow ate my note book.
The problem is, when we make excuses for our situations, we give up control of those same situations. We decide we would rather make an excuse instead of make a change. Excuses are much easier than change. I can make an excuse for not doing my homework. even though I'm free the whole day. What happen if the person does not buy your excuse? Then I'll say, "I'll fix that and get it done right." instead of "I'm sorry". Sorry means that you knew you were going to do something wrong to begin with. "I'll fix that" means that you are admitting to a mistake, but not the intent. "I'm sorry" is making an excuse.
How many times do you say you are sorry in a day? Probably quite a few, if you are the average person. I challenge you to never use those words ever again! Not even if someone loses a loved one! Say something positive instead! Say, you can tell they were loved and you'll pray for them. Say you will keep good thoughts and memories of them. "Sorry" is a word with a negative connotation Try to only use words with positive connotations. Maybe you can be the one to start a positive those snowball effect in the people's lives around you!
No human on Earth is perfect. We will make mistakes. Just make sure you mistakes instead of making excuses for them!
2.
There are many channels and many tv serials and shows. I like the SAB tv the most because it is the only tv channel which shows the family and comedy series the whole day. We can see the serials with whole family and enjoy them. Of all I like Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chasmah the most.
In this serial the story is based on a locality named Gokuldham society. Gokuldhaam Society is a residential society in Mumbai in which six Indian families, respectively headed by Taarak Mehta (from Gujarat). Jethalal Champaklal Gada (from Kutch district. Gujarat), Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide(from Ratnagiri. Maharashtra), Dr. Hansraj Hathi (from Bibar), Sardar Roshan Singh Harjeet Singh Sodhi (from Jalandhar, Punjab and his wife is Parsi) and Krishnan Subramaniam Iyer (from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and wife from Kolkata, West Bengal), a bachelor Patrakar Popatlal Pandey (from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh) and a teenager Pinku. There are also other individual characters including Sundarlal (from Ahmedabad. Gujarat), Abdul, Reporter Rita Shrivastav, Natwarlal Prabhashankar Udhaiwala, Bagheshwar Dadukh Udhaiwala, Bawri Dhondulal Kanpuria. Jethalal also has a crush on Babita.
The members of the society and other characters have a good psychological attachment of love and sympathy for one another that makes them the members of a greater family. They are often seen celebrating festivals and participating in events together. In the episodes of the show, the families are shown to live the lives of typical Indian families. However, the characters, more often than not Jethalal Gada, get into petty troubles cropping up from daily life activities that intensify in a comical manner, giving rise to laughter among the viewers. Humour in the show is further heightened by the individual quirks of the characters. Whatever the nature of the problem that a member of the Society encounters, all the other members stand by them to extend every possible help. In an episode, the cessation of the problem that character faces is usually followed by a moral commentary by Taarak Mehta, which is meant for all the characters of the show as well as the viewers.
There is always moral message in almost all episodes and in this morally boosted environment the children team named "Tapu Sena" enjoys their childhood and many children can connect themselves with them. That's why this serial is quite popular among children. Really this is a great series to laugh, to enjoy and get our stress out in this busy and hectic life.

Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Pavani Raval of standard XI – B and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Cruelty to animals’.
Animals are a part of the environment and are better called the ‘fauna’. Man should have an affinity with animals to maintain the ecological balance. We should treat animals as our friends.
Man for his selfish purpose ill-treats and kills them though they provide him with milk, meat, leather, dung for manure and also work as beasts of burden.
Pet animals are good company and very faithful. They need to be brought up as members of the family. Animals working in the circus are kept in cages and are ill-treated. When milch animals are not able to give milk they are abandoned by their owners. Such animals die in road accidents or fall sick after consuming toxic waste. The number of tigers, elephants and whales has decreased because men hunt them recklessly. Oil sleeks in water bodies destroys marine life. Many people kill animals just for the joy of hunting. A balance of herbivorous and carnivorous animals is required for environmental preservation. Hunting of endangered species needs to be curbed. People especially students need to be aware and come forward to maintain an ecological balance. We share the earth with them so we should live and let them live too.

Stress has become an inescapable part of today's world. People are facing stress everywhere, whether it is their homes, offices or even while driving on the road. The world has become a very stressful place. In many cases it is because there are genuine reasons for stress and in some cases it is because people do not know how to cope with stress. Stress is nothing but the incapability of the human mind to cope with the physical and imagined threats that it has to encounter on a daily basis.
Stress can lead to all sorts of mental and physical illnesses. Stress management is the only way by which stress can be coped with. The main signs of stress could be fear, pain, anger, fatigue ¥¾•, emotional arousal, humiliation, frustration, loss of concentration, non-occurrence of an expected event, occurrence of an unexpected event, death/separation of a loved one etc.
Clearly, to enjoy life it is nowadays absolutely vital that all of us develop the following that will give us the ability to control our responses to stress.
Here are some important tips for stress management:
  • Do only one thing at a time. This is the simplest and best way to start your day. Focus as much as possible on doing one thing at a time.
  • A hectic schedule is also one of the major causes of stress so simplify your schedule by reducing the number of commitments in your life just to the essential ones and get some room for fun and family.
  • Do some activities like walk, hike, play a sport, go for a run, hit the gym etc. This will give you positive energy and physical fitness to fight with stress.
  • Finance is one of the main drains of your energy and source of stress in your life. Spend les by shopping less and find ways to have fun that don't involve spending money.
  • Be creative in the field you like most. Throwing yourself into a creative activity is a great way to reduce stress.
  • Do time management and be early in works you do in your routine. Things always take much time then expectation so schedule some buffer time to reduce stress and enjoy the work.
Really in this modern world where over 80% people are having some or other problems and tha problems lead them to stress we have to be very careful about ourselves and be stress free by applying
stress management techniques in our life.
2.
Women Empowerment refers to strengthening the social, economic and educational powers of women. It refers to an environment where there is no gender bias and has equal rights in community, society and workplaces.
Woman empowerment is very important because the population of woman is around 50% of the total population of the world. They have every right to be treated equally with men in every sphere of life and society. The empowerment of women would result in overall development of society both at micro and macro level. Active participation of women in economic activities and decisions, would contribute towards overall economic development.
But there are many challenges / barriers regarding women empowerment. Because of the inherent superiority complex among the males, they often don't allow their female counter-part to rise as high as them. There is high level of domestic responsibilities. There are high restrictions to participate in social, economic and religious activities. In our society, the boy-child often gets preference for education and healthy diet over the girl child. Some people prefer male-child over girl and this still exists among many families in the society.
If there is a problem then there always be solutions regarding women empowerment. Education through mass communication is very important. Both women and men should be made aware of their responsibilities to promote and practice gender-equality. We should gather national data and identify the areas where incidents of violence and gender-inequality are the most. This data can be used by the Government, NGOS and field workers to raise the status of women. The society should be made aware that both boy-child and girl-child are equal, and they both should have equal access to resources.

Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Steffi Fonseca of standard XI – D and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Travelling as a means of Education’.
People travel for different reasons - work, rest, change of routine, family get- togethers.

1.
Most of us have fond memories of spending our childhood days with our grandparem. While some of us have spent our after school times with our grandparents some had the opportunity to be with them only in the holidays.
Grandparents have magnanimous love for their grandchildren and pamper als them a lot. This is the time when they are free from other responsibilities and can afford to play their grandchildren and wheedle them with love. A grandparent's presence in a child's life gives him the human sense that he may have lacked otherwise.
The tales that these elderly people tell at the bed time to their grandchildren helps them learn a lot about life and also develops their interest in social events and activities. Many children learn the social values and also virtues like honesty, kindness, gratitude, faith etc. Children who grow up in the solace of their grandparents naturally have more respect for the elderly people.
Grandparents with their kind advice and useful tips give a direction to their life and children developer better insight into their lives in future. Grandparents also make up for the time that parents fail to provide to their children due to busy schedules and pile of responsibilities and duties. Many children are crazy about their grandparents and find them a vital part of their everyday routines. Children love the recipes of their maternal or paternal grandmothers and express their feelings and get loads of love in form of good food from them. Children bond well with their grandfathers who play indoor games with them and also take them for evening strolls or accompany them to the parks or stadiums where they meet up with friends.
With nuclear families becoming popular, many children have to stay away from grandchildren and can't spend every day or their routine with them. Such children wait to see them in vacations when they get their share of love and care from the grandparents.
While the role of grandparents is such indispensable for the children, it is also equally important that they understand the needs and the changing demands of the next generation. Really the role of grandparents in the life of any child is unique in the overall development of child.

What is freedom? Is it an absolute right? We are born to become free. Freedom is different aspects and according to different cultures, freedom varies from culture to another. Some define freedom as a natural right, the human being is born with. Everyone wants to be free and independent from others. Freedom is the right to do what one wants, live where he wants, eat what he wants, learns what he wants, and chooses the religion in which he believes, without ignoring or harming other's rights.
How can we live free? From my point of view, we can live free by respecting others' rights defined from to live free, too. We cannot ignore the rights of people with whom we live in the society. We cannot simply do what we want and ignore others. We must take other people rights into consideration. The idea behind freedom is to be respectful and useful to our society. Freedom is important to everyone. When freedom is guaranteed, I can think freely, go where I want, say my opinion without fear from people who may not like my opinion. Where freedom of opinion is not guaranteed by the authority, the creativity of mind is killed and buried .Society is the largest and biggest loser because of this lack of creativity. But our practicing of freedom should never lead to threatening our national security.
Among the most humiliating ways to punish a human, is to deprive him of freedom. When one goes to jail, he is derived from freedom, and so he is suffering, which is the point to punishment. Lacking freedom teaches the human lessons, he will make use of it. Freedom cannot be felt right, unless one tastes lack of freedom, then only he will really appreciate freedom.
Freedom is not absolute. Freedom must be limited. You cannot just do what you like and say "I am a free man". You can not kill, smuggle drugs or violate the laws and rules for freedom's sake. There should be respect to other people and their needs. Once, there were two men setting side by side, and someone lifted his own hand and touched the others' nose, the latter complained, the former said "I am free", this was as a dismay to the latter who was ready with an appalling answer and said "The freedom of your hand ends where the freedom of my nose begins". Yes, the freedom of anyone ends where the freedom of another one begins.
Parents must teach their youngsters to be free. They must plant in them the love for freedom. But their freedom must be watched, it should not be without limits. If so, we can censor their behavior without fear from friends of our children. Freedom in the teen years is very important for building a good character and stable personality. Teens want to hang around with friends, do whatever they like, or do not like. They want to experience everything. If they are given freedom with no limits, they can go down to the base and may be lost. So we must watch their behaviour, teach them to do what is right and leave what is wrong. Such supervision is, generally not considered a limit or constraint on freedom. It is important for protection of existence.
In summary, freedom is an innate right, humans are bom with. Nothing should threaten our freedom, deprive us from our right. Also our right of freedom must never harm any other human being, directly or indirectly. We must respect freedom of everyone in the society. This way we can enjoy our freedom throughout our life.

Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Aditya Dave – of standard XI – C and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Hemets - A help or nuisance’
Helmets are needed for two wheeler riders and pillion riders. In modern times with the problem of heavy traffic and lack of parking facilities, people find it convenient to use two wheelers. With the growing number of accidents the government has passed a law for compulsory wearing of helmets. The helmets save the delicate brain and avoid serious head injuries.
However, many people find carrying helmets a problem. It becomes a nuisance to carry them at social functions and business meetings.
As there is no strict action taken, many people carry the helmets on their rear view mirrors.
They usually fall off on the road and cause a hazard to moving traffic - as people and vehicles trip on them. Today many people wear caps which look like helmets to get away from fines but what about their safety ? Good helmets are expensive and spurious traders are ruling the roost by manufacturing cheap and unsafe helmets. Such don’t even have the ISI mark.
Helmets should really be made compulsory for all. The need of the day is stringent laws, fines, penalties and support of the People. Do wear helmets while riding your two wheelers, it will protect you !

Our hearts at their birth serve the purpose of passing oxygen to our blood cells-10 pump repeatedly and keep us alive. Their pulse is a rhythm, sometimes captivating, sometimes haphazard when we are scared. The most fascinating quality of the heart is love. I believe that love is the most powerful force in the world. It can build a life to the stars but also be fatal if it's lost. It's everything all at once-beautiful, gentle, ugly, and brutal. It's formidable as well as fragile. Love is what drives people and begs for change.
We are surrounded by it since before our birth. We feel it from our mothers, our fathers, and family members. Love reminds us that we are not alone. It's the act of finding peace with ourselves and the world around us. For me, it's like babies sleeping cosily in their mother's lap, a beautiful painting painted with the colours of imagination and the very first time a bird opens its wings to fly. Love is the light of hope in the darkest caves of adversity the spark that says 'yes I can.'
As love creates indestructible families, builds long lasting bonds in relationships, develops inner peace and promotes peace and understanding in the world. Love is the catalyst that bonds all other virtues that make up the content of good character I personally believe, "Love" is the greatest virtue, it is by far the greatest gift you can give or receive. Commit to loving unconditionally, yourself with all your flaws and imperfections, your family life with all your heart, and learn to love life with a passion.
Love can be defined by many ways: when a sister tells her brother that she cats the hidden chocolates from his bag everyday and brother thinks that he puts it only for her that is love. Love is the leading force of life in the old age. When giving becomes more important than gaining it is love. Love gives hidden strength to accept a person knowing all his vices.
Of all my virtues, love is the most important. Love has become a driving force within me. Love has built me, destroyed me, crippled me, and then healed me. Love is life in four letters. It's what I have, will always have, and always seek to find in others. Love simply is the most powerful force in the world.

Cartoon characters always attract children. There are many cartoon characters in the world of television like Mickey, Donald duck, Doremon, Henry, Barbie and the most popular of all Chotta Bheem. This is characterised after the famous character of Bheem from the epic Mahabharata. But all the other characters are fictional and not related to the Mahabharata.
There are many characters in this cartoon series such as Bheem, Chutki, Raju and a monkey named Jaggu. These are the main characters of the series formed a group and enjoy together. My favourite cartoon character is Chotta Bheem. I also like the character of Chutki in Chotta Bheem. She is very cute and beautiful. Chotta Bheem first appeared in Pogo T.V in 2008. Bheem lives in Dholakpur. Dholakpur is ruled by King Indraverma, who likes Bheem very much. Bheem protects the city from many evils like Keechak, Kirmada, Mangal Singh etc. Bheem always fights for justice and destroys evil. I like him because he is very strong and powerful. He likes laddoos, especially the ones made by Tun Tun aunty. Tun Tun aunty is Chutki's mother. She is also round in shape, like her laddoos. Bheem's other best friends are Jaggu, the monkey and Raju. Kalia is always jealous of Bheem but Bheem likes him too. Bheem is so good that he always helps Kalia whenever he falls in trouble, even Kalia doesn't forget to help Bheem in return when needed. There is also Dholu and Bholu, the identical twins.
In the cartoon series we see Bheem helping everyone in Dholakpur and also the neighbouring kingdom. He made a tree house for his friend Jaggu, the monkey. He fights the dacoits alone and gets back the things that they have looted from the people. All these qualities of Bheem make him my favourite character. But as you know Bheem is not a real character, so we should not imitate him fully. We should cat all the food made by our loving mothers and not only laddoos, as too much of laddoos are harmful for our health. After watching Chota Bheem we should come back to our real life and carry out our duties with great responsibility.
There is also moral story in this cartoon series. It gives children the message that even children can fight with the evil and also helps them to be bold. It also teaches that the truth wins at the end. We as a parents also feel relieved that some morals regarding bravery, friendship, helping nature, truth etc will be easily incorporated with the children without knowing them. At the end we can say that cartoon series are very useful for the development of children.

Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Altaf Shaikh of standard XI - C and I am going to speak on the topic ‘If trees could speak’.
If trees really could speak they would be the best teachers in the world. They would tell us that the beautiful world we live in is fragile and needs to be taken care of. They would remind us that they form the first link in the food chain and if we don’t respect and take care of them we would be causing an imbalance in the food chain.
They would remind us to maintain a 33% forest cover to save us from global warming. They would go on a strike and not support us with the environmental gifts that they give us like controlling soil erosion, maintaining the humidity and bringing rain.
The leaves would tell us how they love the spring time which helps them grow and how they hate the autumn and winter when they are made to fall off the trees. Trees would hate to tell us that we human beings are their worst enemies. They would insist that we learn to live and let live. This world is not just our own but we co-exist with the other living beings. They also have an equal right to live and enjoy the best of nature.

1.
People wonder why we should learn about war and why it's so important. War is something that cannot be avoided as long as humans continue to change and grow. There are many advantages and disadvantages of war. Advantages use few like peace, love, money or getting some land of other country. And disadvantages of war Include death and injury of large numbers of people, loss of economic resources, destruction of the environment, loss of productivity and lasting damage to military personnel. Since humans as a whole are constantly changing their personalities, their way of life, and their technological and social ways of life, it seems that as long as we continue to grow and change as humans, then there will always be war.
The disadvantage of war is that the people of the affected countries and their civilization are ruined through the war. The people become homeless and their economic condition becomes very critical. There is only one thing important at that time is to win the war so all the social things will be put aside by the authorities and so the social life of the people will be affected most. All the schools are closed in that emergency situation if the war is on their land so the children will remain uneducated and their future will be in the dark in that situation. There is somewhat like emergency declared and so all the social rights of people of that country will be demolished by the government. People cannot express their ideas freely as there is no freedom of speech or no freedom of press.
The main disadvantage is trauma. There are many kinds of trauma that can scare you in a physical or mental way that will never make you the same as you were before. Each kind of trauma transforms the complete, basic human being into someone else, someone having parts missing from their psyche. War leads us to poverty; human loses and long lasting consequences to follow.
Every war gives the same result as one side winning and the other side losing. One side with pride and reward and the other side with loss. But both sides however have devastating consequences that follow war. Death, debt and poverty: some of the most major effects that follow war.
The rewards of the war can be great, but the loss is too great. War should be avoided in any way possible.
2.
We've all heard of the old saying, "Nobody ever drowned in their own sweat!" We aren't saved by our faith alone, but by our "Works" also. Basically, if you want something done, you'd better get your chin up and do it. There is much to learn from all this. Basically success, fortunes and dreams aren't created by themselves. They are created by work.
Our great former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has achieved all this success only through sheer hard work. To support his studies, he started off as a newspaper vendor. Then later in his engineering studies, he worked very hard and bagged scholarships which helped him fund his education. Even our former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was born in a village without electricity studied in candlelight and still stood first throughout his academic career, all possible through hard work. The life of Mr. Narayan Murthy also- establishes the importance of hard work. From having slept at a railway station for 2 days without food to starting Infosys in a one room flat to taking Infosys to its current level is no mean task. Such a seemingly impossible task made possible only through hard work. What else other than hard work can be attributed to the success of Mr. Sunil Mittal of Bharti Airtel? Sunil Mittal started a small bicycle business in Ludhiana. From then on with his sheer hard work, he moved on and try to understand various businesses and finally founded Airtel and made it a great success. All great sports persons have to practice a lot and only then are they able to maintain their performance.
Hard work is the basis for everything worthwhile you will achieve in life. There's no easy way to do hard work. You have to find your passion: stay focused, and keep at the task until the job is done. You have to stay extremely motivated. Success never comes to one who sits idle, like it is said 'Fortune Favours the Brave', we need to be active and hard working to have the lady luck favouring us and taking us towards the success.
Unfortunately today's modem youth wants everything very fast. This is a 'fast food era! People want to have success in their life without exerting much. They want a short cut method for everything Yes, sometimes these short cuts may work for some occasions but they can't work every time.
There is no substitute for hard work and there is no short cut to success!

Respected teachers and my dear friends, I am Kusum Joshi of standard XI - A and I am going to speak on the topic ‘Humanity above all Nations’.
God is the potter, the earth is his wheel and all human beings are the pots he has made, We are made out of the same clay but we speak different languages, follow different religions, have different colour of skin and live in different regions. All people are allied by birth. We breathe the same air and enjoy the same sunshine. Inspite of all these, whenever there have been disasters both natural and man-made, people have come to help one another. Nature considers everyone as equal and gives us the right to enjoy her benefits. It is we humans who have created divisions. We need to amend this attitude. We need to rise above petty issues and honour and respect everyone around us if we want to command that same respect. Humanity is what is important than all materialistic things in this world.
