Question 14 Marks
(1) मूढ जहीहि धनागमतृष्णां
कुरु सदलुद्धिं मनसि वितृष्णाम्‌ ।
यल्लभसे निजकर्मोपात्तं
वित्तं तेन विनोदय चित्तम्‌ ॥

(2) यावद्वित्तोपार्जनसक्तः
तावन्निजपरिवारो रक्तः ।
पश्चाज्जीवति जर्जरदेहे
वार्ता कोडपि न पृच्छति गेहे ॥
Answer
(1) O fool! give up the temptation of obtaining more wealth. Be free from intense desire of wealth and develope good sense and enjoy the wealth of your good deeds.
(2) As long as a person is engrossed in earning wealth, he enjoys strong attachment with his family but when he becomes old and weak, he does not get any attention and affection from his family members. (Means nobody cares for his well- being).

Question 24 Marks
(1) दिनमपि रजनी सायं प्रातः
शिशिरवसन्तौ पुनरायातः ।
कालः क्रौडति गच्छत्यायुः
तदपि न मुञ्चत्याशावायुः ॥

(2) जटिलो मुण्डी लुञ्चितकेशः
काषायाम्बरबहुकृतवेश: ।
पश्यन्नपि च न पश्यति मूढो
ह्यदरनिमित्तं बहुकृतवेशः ॥
Answer
(1) There is repitition of day and night, evening and morning, shishir (the latter part of winter) and the spring season. The time plays its role. The duration of life passes away accordingly even though the human being does not give up wind of desire.
(2) A fool with matted hair, with clean - shaven head, with hair plucked off, and in saffron attire disguises himself in many ways to earn his livelyhood can not understand certain things (see certain things) even though he has eyes.

Question 34 Marks
(1) भगवदगीता किञ्चिदधीता
गङ्गाजललवकणिका पीता ।
सकृदपि यस्य मुरारिसमर्चा
तस्य यमः किं कुरते चर्चाम्‌ ॥

(2) कामं क्रोधं लोभं मोहं
त्यक्त्वात्मानं भावय कोडहम्‌ ।
आत्मज्ञानविहीना मूढाः
ते पच्यन्ते नरकनिगूढाः ॥
Answer
(1) Yamraj (the god of death) does not think of any damage to a person who has studied Gita, has drunk even a small drop of the holy water of the Ganga and has worshipped Lord Vishnu at least once.
(2) Develope feelings in your mind giving up sensual happiness, anger temptation, affection etc. and know your soul (who am I?). The fools without self-realisation sink in the hell and are cooked by Yamraj (the god of death).

Question 44 Marks
(1) गेयं गीतानामसहस्रं
ध्येयं श्रीपतिरूपमजस्त्रम् ।
नेयं सज्जनसङ्गे चित्तं
देयं दीनजनाय च वित्तम्‌ ॥

(2) सुखतः क्रियते धान्याभोगः
पश्चाद्धन्त शरीरे रोगः ।
यद्यपि लोके मरणं शरणं
तदपि न मुञ्चति पापाचरणम्‌ ॥
Answer
(1) One should recite Shrimad Bhagwat and Vishnu Sahastranam. One should meditate at the form of Lord Vishnu, the husband of godess Laxmi and lead (keep) himself in the company of the virtuous people. One should donate (give) wealth to the poor and helpless.
(2) Alas! When these foodgrains are consumed happily our body becomes victim of many diseases. But the human being does not give up sinful conduct even if his death approaches him.
